We are the Brookfield Bulldogs!
The Brookfield Bulldogs are a premier nonprofit select baseball program offering competitive baseball to youths in the Elmbrook School District. The goal is to prepare the boys to play at the high school level by playing against the best competition in the area and neighboring states.
We provide Elmbrook youths an opportunity to play in leagues such as the Wisconsin State Youth Baseball League (WSYBL), Milwaukee Area Junior Open Residency League (MAJOR) and Wisconsin Baseball Association (WBA). In contrast to Elmbrook Little League, which consists of several teams made up of Elmbrook youths playing against each other, we develop and support very competitive teams that play against other communities in southeastern Wisconsin. We also participate in many tournaments throughout the baseball season. Unlike Little League, which consists of several different age groups on one team, we have teams for each individual age group ranging from 2nd grade through 8th grade. Rather than using the Little League Rulebook we use the National Federation of State High School rules, the same ones used by Brookfield East and Brookfield Central high schools. All teams use live pitching.
The Bulldogs were founded in 1997 as single U-11 team with the goal to promote competitive baseball with emphasis on sportsmanship and community responsibility in the Elmbrook Community. With our permanent indoor facility, The Doghouse, we encourage and provide year round training in pitching, hitting and fielding skills. We do this with a flexible program so that we do not interfere with other activities during the baseball off-season.
At the U12/6th grade level the Brookfield Bulldogs, for the past 8 years; have traveled to Cooperstown, New York to experience baseball at Cooperstown. While there they play against high level competition from across the United States. This once in a lifetime experience is self-funded by the team and by the proceeds from our annual tournament.
